Awesomely cantankerous old bluesman T-Model Ford is revving up to head out on tour with Seattle throwback band Gravel Road. They'll make a stop at the appropriately roadhouse-like Thee Parkside on Sunday, March 29. Tickets are $10 advance (plus fees, or pay $12 at the door) via Thee Parkside's online ticket broker, HoldMyTicket.com. Preceding the jukejoint blues throwdown will the weekly "Twang Sunday" hoedown, so get ready to hear the phrase "y'all" more times in one day than you have since you visited your Aunt Bernice in Arkansas and got crazy hooched-up on auntie's homemade white lightning. -- J.G.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
