Starting February 3, Oakland metal kings Testament will give fans a chance to buy two late-nineties albums -- 1997's Demonic and 1999's The Gathering -- as special LP reissues. Both records will have double-gatefold sleeves and some copies will have colored vinyl (red and gold for Demonic and The Gathering, respectively). The albums will only be pressed in 1,000 copies each, however, with the colored vinyl versions being just 1/10 of each pressing, so collectors better be quick with their cash or they'll miss out. Each LP is 25 bones apiece or you can buy both for $40. The Prosthetic Records website has the goods.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
