New Bruce Springsteen Album Out Now, San Jo Concert Tix Go On Sale Monday

Working On A Dream, the newest album by Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band, was officially released yesterday. No surprise: the critics are digging it. (Bruce could sing "The Alphabet Song" and Rolling Stone would give it five stars as long as Clarence Clemons played sax in the background; in this case, RS is making bold comparisons to 1975's classic Born to Run -- no faint praise.) For true Bruce addicts, though, critical drool is less important than the announcement of an upcoming national tour, stopping in San Jose's HP Pavilion on April 1. Tickets for that concert range from $38 to $95 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Monday, Feb. 2; click here for Ticketmaster info. -- John Graham

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
