The Alternative Cafe in Monterey is having a show curated by Outer Edge Studio. The show features prints that have long sold out, so if you missed them the first time around, now is your second chance. There are prints by Banksy, Shawn Barber, Shepard Fairey and David Choe. This print from David is in a limited edition of 150. It looks like the gallery has two, one framed, one not.  Get the Prints Here.

"The Call I" by Josh Keyes

The Limited Addiction Gallery has changed their name to the David B Smith Gallery. The opening exhibiton of the gallery has some new work by favorites of the gallery such as Josh Keyes. This print goes on sale "January 27th at approximately 11 a.m. Mountain Standard Time". The print is 20" x 26.5" with deckled edges, signed and numbered in an edition of 750 on Embossed Hahnemühle Paper. Get the Print Here.

"Godseed" by Matt Dangler

It was in the first few weeks of these articles that I was able to share a print from this amazing artist. Lucky for me he just redesigned his website and launched a new print at the same time. This print is based off of his "Godseed" drawing that he had at the Paper Pushers show at the Gallery 1988 in San Francisco. The print is 6″ x 10″ on Epson Fine Velvet Art paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 30. The print is $60 and comes shipped flat in a cardboard mailer. Find it in the store. Get the Print Here.

"Max" by Adam Fantome

Curbs & Stoops have just released a new print by UK's Adam Fantome, an artist that has been making quite a noise at the Boston gallery Art Asylum. The print is silver ink on 330gsm black pike, measures 16.5″x23.5″ and comes signed, numbered and stamped. The print comes shipped "flat in black bound three tie presentation folders with archival acid free inserts. In addition 5% of each sale will be donated by Art Asylum to the local arts project for teens within the Boston area to educate youth on the impact of street art in society." Get the Print Here.

"Grin" by Ron English

I don't show too many collectible toys, it is a prints article, but some are too good to pass up. This 7" vinyl toy is produced by Made by Monsters. The toy is based on a Charlie Brown "Grin" painting/prints Ron made that have long since sold out. I haven't been able to find out what the edition of these are, but the order page says "Low Stock" so they are clearly running out. Get the Toy Here.

(LOWBROW runs every Tuesday on All Shook Down. Till then, check out the Lowbrow Archive.)

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
