Odd Nosdam to Release Soundtrack for Element Skate Film

Posted By on Wed, Jan 14, 2009 at 12:30 PM

If there's two things we can't get enough of, it's beats and skateboards. Element Skateboards along with Oakland DJ/producer Odd Nosdam came correct with both a few years back with the release of This Is My Element, a skate film featuring an original soundtrack with songs composed specifically for each skater. Nosdam's work on the T.I.M.E. soundtrack marked a huge step forward for skate film production, and will now be physically released on March 10 from none other than Anticon. Check out this free mp3 of "Fly Mode" for a sample. And if you like what you hear, you can catch Odd Nosdam spinning at the Rickshaw Stop on Jan. 28, and also at Underground SF Feb. 5. Visit Nosdam's MySpace profile for more info.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
