We were getting all good and ready for a red hot Afrobeat throwdown with Femi Kuti this month, but now have belted out a resounding groan. That's because his entire U.S. tour has been canceled due to illness. Yes, that also includes the would-be upcoming scheduled performance at the Fillmore on Jan. 22. No make-up dates have been scheduled, so we'll have to wait indefinitely to see Femi rock the Hell out of that sax. For ticket return info, visit LiveNation.com.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
