Posted By on Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 2:23 PM

ASD is always down for a cool art event, but throw in a little skateboarding into the mix and it sweetens the deal like a Pixy Stix. Skateboard mag SLAP celebrates its online launch with a group art showing at Onsix Gallery Saturday, Dec. 6, and promises art from skaters and skateboard lovers alike. Head out to 60 6th St. this weekend to check out art from Ed Templeton, Arto Saari, Jeremy Fish, Jason Adams, Chris Pastras and lots more. They'll also be screening Stereo's classic videos, A Visual Sound and Tincan Folklore, which features innovator of the 360 flip and star of My Name is Earl, Jason Lee. More info at --Oscar Pascual

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
