MP3 of the Day: Zach Galifianakis and Fiona Apple

Posted By on Tue, Dec 2, 2008 at 12:24 PM

This faux club banger by comedian Zach Galifianakis and songwriter Fiona Apple sounds like Har Mar Superstar meets Weird Al. "Up in Them Guts" demands that you show off your fanny pack in return for getting a glimpse of the fanny; details Galifianakis' desire to "spray my baby batter"; and gives shout outs to the Golden Gate Bridge and Amoeba. According to Stereogum  which offers a streaming version of the silly song, we have Chunklet to thank for these two getting up in them guts. -- Jennifer Maerz

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
