Scott Belcastro "Link VS. Gannon"

This week's article is filled with artists named Scott, and the first one showcased his work at the recent "I am 8 Bit" show. A Paper Tiger will be the exclusive spot to get prints from this show, and as of now they have two ready to go. The first one is my favorite from said show, probably because I am a huge Legend of Zelda geek. I love how the Belcastro played up the importance of Gannon. You invest so many hours playing the game; the last challenge had to be a monster right? This print is 12" x 12" signed and numbered ,in an edition of only 50. Get It Here

Scott Campbell "Great Showdowns (of the 8 bit era)"

The next "Scott" print is from an artist I have featured in these articles before: Scott Campbell. This is another piece from the "I Am 8 Bit" show, and Scott is doing another one of his "Showdowns" series. This time it features confrontations between some of the more popular games like Donkey Kong, Frogger and a few more you might recognize, so take a look. This is a set of 5 prints, each one is 5" x 3" and is limited to 30. Get It Here

Scott Schiedly "The Prophecy of Frank"

This is the final print from a Scott this week, unless of course Scott Saw or Scott Musgrove releases a new one in a day or so. This one by Scott Scheidly is from a piece he painted for the Crazy 4 Cult show last year, but is now available for the Crazy4Cult 2 show that is going on right now. Donnie Darko is a popular topic in these shows, but this one (for me) has to be one of the better ones. The print is 11" x 14" and is signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Get it Here

Jim Mahfood "I am 8 Bit Poster"

Yes, we appear to be on a "I Am 8 Bit" roll. Well, this is the show poster from the latest 8 Bit event, made by multi-talented artist Jim Mahfood. The poster is 12" x 18" and is signed. The best part is: they are only $20. Get It Here

Gene Guynn "Consiction"

This last print is from San Francisco artist Gene Guynn, and yes, I did feature a print from him just last week, but he went ahead and released a new one that was too good to pass up. Last week's print was a silkscreen, and this week's is a full color giclee print from one of his super energetic figurative works. These are the paintings that got me hooked on his art in the first place. This particular print is 9" x 12" signed and numbered with a sealed certificate of authenticity. It is limited to 25. Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
