The Faint to Party at Rickshaw Stop after Fillmore Set

Posted By on Thu, Jul 31, 2008 at 6:16 PM

Those who aren't danced-out from the Faint's Monday show at the Fillmore can head over to the Rickshaw Stop for a DJ set by the band's Todd Fink and Jacob Thiele (who, with their powers combined, form "Depressed Buttons"). Clubs editor John Graham tells us that Aaron Axelsen and Omar of Popscene will be DJing as well, while Italo-disco fashionistos Glass Candy will perform live. Doors are at 10 p.m. and it'll cost ya $7. Oh, and be at least 18. — Janine Kahn

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
