Shawn Barber "Los Angeles Self Portrait Sketch I"

Still going strong with his "Tattooed Portraits" series, Shawn currently has a solo show at the Billy Shire Fine Arts Gallery. The show is filled with amazing work, and a few prints are available as well. It's not often that I get to show a print of a drawing, and this one was too good to pass up. It's a self portrait, and it looks amazing - Shawn is clearly as skilled with graphite as he is oil. This print is on Arches Watercolor paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Size is 13" x 17" image 9" x 13". Get It Here

John John Jesse "Live Fast Die Young II"

Founder member and bassist of NYC Punk band "Nausea," John John Jesse is also a very skilled painter. His work sells very fast, and he rarely makes prints, but when he does they sell out just as quickly. This print is 17" x 21" on archival rag paper, signed and numbered in an edition of 30. Each print also comes with certificate of authenticity. Head on over to his homepage now, e-mail him and snatch one these prints up. Get It Here

Sandi Calistro "Dream"

A tattoo artist out of Denver, Sandi has a very unique style, one that has completely reeled me in. Each of her paintings, whether vibrant color or monochrome, have this dreamy quality that makes me think of older times. The last time I felt that with an artist's work was Paul Chatem and perhaps Alex Kuno. She has show coming up this month at the Black Maria Gallery in Los Angeles, but you don't have to wait for that to snag some killer prints. The one here is signed and numbered, not sure about the size and edition, but I'm sure if you shoot her a note, she'll let you know. Get It Here

Sam Vaughan "Sid Vicious"

Sam received his BFA in printmaking at the California College of Arts, and now spends his time making art in his own press studio. This print is one I found browsing the Eclectix Gallery website. It is a limited edition, hand enhanced screenprint, so I get the impression this print is one of a kind. Head on over and check it out under "Online Gallery," and then "Prints." Get It Here

Ben Wilson "Technological Vice"

A illustrator and fine artist out of Idaho, Ben also has an impressive list of Rock Posters to his name: Built to Spill, Decemberists, Interpol and many more. I really dig his fine art, he has a great painting style and has very catchy characters in many of his pieces. The one shown here is one of my favorites. I love the colors used and the expressions. The print is 12" x 15" signed and numbered in an edition of 50. Get It Here

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
