Photographer's notes: Pride 2008 was definitely a historic event. Record numbers were out to watch or participate in the parade, buy some great stuff and just show everyone their joy. Everywhere you looked, happy couples (some of whom had signs announcing their marriage date to the world) were hand in hand with some of the most genuine smiles ever seen on their faces. The Main Stage performances included Cyndy Lauper, Crystal Waters, Rubbersidedown and The Ethel Murman Experience, to name a few.

Unsurprisingly, the mayor of homo love was there. He, alongside the ambassadors for equal rights and other activists, spread the word on making a change in the world's views on gay/lesbian Marriage. Comedian/activist Margaret Cho was also on hand to spread the word on the progress made with GLBT Rights and to remind us all to vote no on the gay marriage ban.

I must admit I was teary eyed and filled with joy. Thank goodness for change and congratulations to all the newlyweds. --Jenny E. Cash

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
