The Lowbrow Art Sale: Nicoletta Ceccoli, Brendan Monroe & Scott Radke

Nicoletta Ceccoli "Angelica"

Nicoletta has been shown on these list before, she was even in my top 10 list for 2007. Well she has a new print available from Munky King. It's a beautiful sepia-toned lithograph showcasing her amazing style. The print is even framed for you, so all you have to do is put it on the wall. The print is in an edition of 50. I really dig the dreamy look her work has. Get It Here

Brendan Monroe "Circulate"

An artist out of Berkeley, Brendan is inspired a great deal by nature. You can see this influence in the colors he often uses. Along with painting he also does some sculptural work. I really dig his style and the feel that his works give. This print is a four-color letterpress print in Rives BFK, which has to be the best paper around. It's in an edition of only 50. Get It Here

Scott Radke "Cleveland"

Mainly a mask and marionette maker out of Cleveland, Scott Radke has a style that is very catching. His work looks like it comes from another world, his experience with theater shows in each one of his works. His work has been featured in print, movies and he has been involved in a great amount of fine art shows. Most recently at his two person show with Kevin Titzer at the Thinkspace Gallery. His prints also hold the same feel as his marionettes, this print is 10" x 17" signed and numbered on Torchon paper. His last print sold out, and this is his only available print in an edition of 50. Gary Taxali "Favoured Son"

Slingshot Press has a new print that will be up for grabs this Wednesday. It is by Gary Taxali, an artist out of Canada. He works in mixed media as well as 3D. All of his work has this vintage, worn in feel to it, which I'm quite a sucker for. The first 25 orders for this print also get a free signed Gary Taxali Poof Qee. The print is signed and numbered and like all Slingshot prints, it's limited to 50 for $50 a pop. Get It Here

Candykiller "Lost In Slumberland"

LetterPressed is back with a new print by the ever amazing Brian "Candykiller" Taylor. This is the third in an ongoing series of Candykiller prints by LetterPressed. So far this is my favorite one they have done of his, but then again they seem to keep on getting better. This print is an 8" x 10" 2 color letter press print on 100% cotton paper. The print is signed and numbered and limited to 90. This is a pre-order, so don't wait if you want one. Get It Here

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
