Sliced Up Fingers, 7Up Parties and Airplanes on This Week's Top Model

Each week Top Model comes closer and closer to being the worst television show in the world, but I can't stop watching it. This week carried your typical formula of drama, drama and yes, more drama.

First Fatima faced a big dilemma -- she's in the United States as a refugee on a green card and lost her travel documents in Atlanta. Then Paula Porizkova came over to teach the girls how to carry themselves in public. Lesson one helped the girls practice conversing with important people and number two trained them on interviews. The moral of the story?: "Think on your feet." Later Lauren sliced her finger while cutting onions and had to visit the hospital for some stitches.

For the challenge, the girls received a big gold box with a 7Up card on top. Product placement much? They opened up the box and found it filled with lemons, limes and a card inviting them to the event hosted by Jay Godfrey and "all natural" (ha) 7Up.

Courtney Kish, Godfrey's stylist, came to give the girls clothes to wear to the event. In typical challenge fashion, the girls had to prove themselves on the red carpet and many models left much to be desired. Dominique said she was wearing "Jay Georgio," not Godfrey and Lauren cursed. They entered the party, which was decorated full of lemons and limes, and had to schmooze like crazy. Whitney and Stacy Ann tried way too hard and Anya impressed the judges. Her prize was a photo shoot for 7Up (another nearly naked shot) and $10,000.

The girls anticipated their trip abroad and Tyra Mail confirmed their excitement: "There's no time to lag so pack your bags or you'll miss your connection." First they needed a photo shoot. Fatima finally landed an appointment at the consulate to attain her travel documents, but that meant missing the pictures. The ladies packed up all their bags and arrived at a runway (flying, not walking) only to discover it was a shoot and they weren't leaving. Bill Henberger shot the girls in another group picture. Their wardrobe consisted of the most darling vintage inspired outfits I'd ever seen. Finally Top Model represented the best of fashion.

Lauren had a perfect outfit and Anya wore an amazing feathered hat. Immediately after the shoot, the girls headed into a hanger just as Fatima showed up with her documents after missing the whole day. The judges sat inside the hanger for a surprise and speedy judging to determine which girl would "miss her flight." Anya received her photo first followed by Lauren, Tranny, Katarzyna and Whitney. Stacy Ann and Fatima landed in the bottom two and ultimately, the judges decided Fatima's body of work was more impressive and Stacy Ann was voted off. Now the girls embark on their trip to ROME.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
