Portishead Announces New Album, Box Set Out in April

Portishead is finally putting out a new full-length since their last self-titled album over a decade ago. Titled Third, their latest effort hits shelves April 29 and will also be available in a limited edition box set. Portishead's first single off the album, "Machine Gun," premieres today on radio and will be available for download on their official site. -- ASD Staff Report

Jack White's Raconteurs Releases New Album Next Week, Plays Bimbo's in April

Jack White and the gang recently announced that they'll be releasing a new album, Consolers of the Lonely, this year. The release date is March 25, which is next week. No, I'm not fucking with you. But are the Raconteurs fucking with would-be leakers on the Internet? Yes. They also happen to play at Bimbo's on April 23. -- ASD Staff Report

Alex Gross "ButterFlies In The Rain"

An award winning painter and one time art professor, Alex Gross should have been in these lists long ago . Much of his work is inspired by his time spent traveling through Japan. This is a polymer etching on Rives BFK paper and was made by the pros at Pressure Printing. Etchings are amazing but not quite common anymore. This specific one is pretty much sold out save for a few proofs Alex has left over.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
