No, they aren't going to kill a bunch of gay dudes on Valentine's Day. However, there will be a bunch of gay dudes having a killer time. I'm not sure if you need to be queer or punk to go, but being one or the other certainly wouldn't wouldn't hurt. More info when you click "More." -- ASD Staff Report

Stones Throw just can't stop, won't stop. The hardest working label ever kicks off 2008 with all kinds of new projects, primarily a new DVD, In Living the True Gods: Stones Throw 102, out Feb. 12. The disc comes packed with video gems like Madvillain's "Accordion," and an unreleased J Dilla interview. But that's not even the half. ST also gets busy with a new Dilla Podcast mixed by J Rocc, Madlib's remix of Percee P's Perseverance album, and Guilty Simpson's solo debut in March. Make 'em envy all your cool new Stones Throw stuff. -- ASD Staff Report

janeane_garofalo.jpg
"How would you describe the kind of comedy you do? Because there's a little bit of cynicism, a little bit of pessimism in there, but I think that makes it great comedy, as well." That is an actual question Janeane Garofalo faced in a recent television interview, regarding her role in Ratatouille. (More after the jump!)

If you can't read it, the sticker says "Would you like to be in a porno movie with me?" No phone number? Not even an email address? What kind of a tease offers that sort of opportunity without the option of follow through? - Melissa Baron

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
