Original Joe's Restaurant, a 24/7 Tenderloin institution for 70 years, faces its longest ever shutdown after a fire gutted the place on Friday. That means no more Joe's Special, or his famous chicken cacciatore, for quite a while -- at least a few months, according to the Chronicle.

As owner John Duggan says, Original Joe's was one of the rare restaurants in San Francisco where high rollers still rubbed shoulders with the scum of the earth:

"We have everyone from the head politician to the head prostitute in here, and we love them all."

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
