Mugged In The Mission: Cafe Gratitude? Not So Much.

Mental note: Don't get mugged in the Mission, and if you do, don't bother going to Cafe Gratitude for help. Becks & Posh got it right: "I am caring, bullshit."

This is what's wrong with hippies, people. After being violently mugged in the Mission District last week, the sign for Cafe Gratitude (Harrison between 20th and 21st) shone like a beacon in the night, so Enidd went in looking for some help. A customer let her use a phone to call police while she tried to come to grips.

And yet, amid the "vegan cafe organic-jam-packed full of the worst Californian dippiness you've ever imagined," not a single employee offered a word of assistance or solace to the poor, sobbing woman. Not a cup of "I am caring" tea, not a bowl of "I am warm" faux pho miso soup, not even a measly side of "I am extra giving" Asian kale-sea veggie salad. (As you can see, this could go on forever.)

Maybe their food is "prepared with love," but their service doesn't seem to be. For shame!

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
