After pulling out of this weekend’s Austin City Limits fest earlier this week, the White Stripes today announced that they’re canceling their entire tour – which includes their upcoming show at the Greek Theatre on the 21st of this month. The official word is that Meg White suffers from “acute anxiety” and the full (brief) press release is below.

“The White Stripes announced today that they are canceling their forthcoming tour due to health issues. Meg White is suffering from acute anxiety and is unable to travel at this time. The White Stripes sincerely apologize to their fans. ‘We hate to let people down and are very sorry.’”

If you bought tickets to the show, you can go back to the point of purchase for a refund.

Having known folks who've had to deal with panic attacks and the like, it's got to be a rough road being such a public figure with such a crippling personal issue. Here's hoping Meg's better soon. – Jennifer Maerz

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
