Doom Back in SF 9/18 -- Maybe

Posted By on Mon, Sep 10, 2007 at 4:32 PM

Giving you nothing but the lick like two broads -- MF Doom has whetted appetites with a return appearance at the Independent, just weeks after the embattled, addled and tittle-tattled rapper got his chops busted by our readers on this here blog for lip syncing, and then again in the venerable Village Voice.

What does Doom have in store for SF this time? Only the man behind the mask knows. Generally, MF Doom is whack live and I'd save my energy, but this "return to the scene of the crime" shit cannot be missed, son! -d2

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
