Hastily Thrown Together Music News Roundup -- May 30

Posted By on Wed, May 30, 2007 at 3:17 PM

Music news from the Beast's Tummy:

1) Though we live in an era during which Elvis Costello hawks VISA Signature and Prince performs at Macy's, you should be aware that this is Justin Timberlake's world, goddamnit, and we only live in it.

2) Big Fucking Shocker of the Day:No one's buying CDs.

3) Not-So-Big Shocker of the Day: George Michael has pleaded guilty to "driving while unfit," which sounds too silly to even make shit up about.

Just thought you should know.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
