See headliners Thievery Corporation, Bonobo, Lettuce, Claude VonStroke, Lido, Mr. Carmack, and Tourist will be joined by scene dominating acts FKJ, Claptone, Hermitude, and The Gaslamp Killer, plus West Coast favorites J.Phlip, Hippie Sabotage, Jai Wolf, G Jones, Louis The Child, Random Rab, Kasbo and many more showcased throughout eight stages.

What The Festival prides itself on offering fans a majestic departure from the ordinary, a lighthearted vessel of discovery and adventure. Whether time is spent splashing around at massive pool parties, roaming between countless art installations, or dancing at the late night stages attendees are promised a totally unique experience of a lifetime.

What The Festival has also launched its DJ Contest offering aspiring artists the chance to open the event’s Pool Stage with travel expenses covered up to $1,000. Contestants must record their best DJ mix and submit them for review between February 24 and March 1. The best mixes will be narrowed down by the WTF team and presented to the public for voting.

  • clipping at Brava Theater Sept. 11
    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
