Join us for a conversation between Exploratorium Artist-in-Residence Nina Katchadourian and Marina McDougall, Director of the Exploratorium Center for Art & Inquiry. Katchadourian will describe her two-year process of investigating themes of memory, patience, and boredom; culminating in the new work Floater Theater debuting at the Exploratorium on October 1.
Floater Theater is an intimate theatrical environment that prompts participants to explore the fascinating, commonly experienced phenomenon of eye floaters. The optimally-lit screen accentuates the visitor’s ability to see their own eye floaters, while an audio piece, narrated by Katchadourian in her best British accent, guides them through the experience
