If you don't know by now, remember this: You can depend on Wallpaper. to bring a party. The project of one Ricky Reed — who may or may not be the drink-swilling, dancefloor-exploding alter ego of Oakland singer and producer Eric Frederic — Wallpaper. builds humongous club bangers out of subterranean beats and crisp vocals. The tunes even have clever humor: In "#STUPiDFACEDD," a crunked-sounding Reed jokes about picking up chicks at the farmers' market, then mocks his inability to rap. After a few years of making local crowds bounce, this project is starting to get (deserved) attention from outlets like MTV — the channel is even presenting this week's EP release show. Better set your good times to Reed's infectious swagger now, while it's still easy.
