Two Heads Are Better

Wednesday, Mar 9 2011
"Snowball" is a new show by the fascinating leonardogillesfleur, who is, or are, two people who share the following: A single art degree from the San Francisco Art Institute, a marriage, two children, a public identity, and the work of making sculptural, concept-based art. The title of this exhibit refers not to the little guy with no chance, but to the effect of a so shared life on individuality. If it hurts your brain to think about, just imagine how they must feel. But they, or it, is a professional, and a wily one. If "Snowball" didn't feature anything but FITO, it would still be worth seeing: It's a two-headed car.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
