Two Door Cinema Club: Show Preview

Wednesday, Sep 21 2011

Rock 'n' roll needs more gingers, but the luscious locks of Two Door Cinema Club frontman Alex Trimble aren't the only reason to get excited about this Northern Irish trio. The band's debut album — last year's Tourist History — is a special blend of slick and creative indie-pop-rock, lying somewhere between Friendly Fires and the Strokes. It's why the band has been creating major waves in music, despite a low-key approach to handling media. Please note: The band members' pants are tight, their shirts are neat, and they're terribly fond of cardigans, so dress nicely for the occasion.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
