Tocadisco
Club Six
Look for all three rooms at Club Six to rock, with popular S.F. house jock David Harness headlining the adjacent Dark Room and Bell securing the peak-hour set on the basement turntables, during "Tocadisco" on Saturday, Oct. 24. 9 p.m, $10; 863-1221 or www.clubsix1.com.
Mark "Blakkat" Bell, who hails from the English seaside town of Blackpool and now lives in Los Angeles, produces and plays records that span the spectrum of house music. Whether industrial and squelchy, as on "Aztek Acid," or bass-grooving to the tune of '80s R&B on "Total," his songs and sets focus on nonstop movement. He has recently resurrected his rare-vinyl label Shaboom as a digital imprint, offering computer-bound listeners a shot at his previously difficult-to-procure singles.
