Tired Dating

Want to cruise into the sunset on a bicycle built for two? Looking to hook up with someone whose ass belies the frequency with which they peddle from one place to the other? Odds will increase exponentially at the S.F. Bike Coalition’s Love on Wheels, in which single cyclists vie for a chance to date one another. It’s based on The Dating Game, the 1970s game show that featured contestants charming unseen interviewers with spectacular and terrible innuendoes about sex. Tonight, expect a lot of jokes about lube and chains. Slots are currently filled, but the audience will be rife with lusty bike enthusiasts with (according to the SFBC) stronger “thrusting muscles,” which can be used accordingly to the music provided by DJ Laron and DJ Jamie Jams. Free valet bike parking ensures you won’t forget where you left the bike, and a photobooth ensures you’ll remember at least a portion of any drunken make-out session.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
