Cracking wise with Dr. Tim

Mr. Dr. Tim Lee, Ph.D., is smarter than you, and also much funnier. Sorry about that. While the sting of that sucker punch wears off, maybe the biologist-turned-comedian can cheer you up with some of the jokes that have earned him millions of hits on YouTube. Like why Lee gave up his fictional astronomy career ("I got stuck on the day shift"), or the psychology of porta-potties as explained by a PowerPoint chart (the two axes represent "disgust" and "desperation"). But the real proof of Lee's intelligence? The UC Davis grad's official website is called youtubecomedian.com — now that's smart.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
