Born in Berlin, Germany, Karsten Windt was first violinist with the Deutsche Symphony Orchestra (DSO) from 1991 until 2011, performing regularly in the Berlin Philharmonic Hall and touring all over Europe, Asia, North and South America. Violist Deanna Badizadegan currently studies with Kim Kashkashian at the New England Conservatory, where she is pursuing a Graduate Diploma in Viola Performance. Since giving her Carnegie Hall debut in 1994, Angela Lee’s “amazing finesse, control and coloration” [San Francisco Chronicle] and “astonishingly rich tone” [San Francisco Examiner] has been celebrated with recitals in Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center and Victor Borge Hall.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
