THHE AUCTION has a reputation for offering something for everyone, including original pieces from some of the Bay Area’s most up-and-coming artists as well as one-of-a-kind works from the city’s undiscovered talent. In recent years, it has featured work from well-known artists such as Barry McGee, Betty Merken, Blek le Rat, Clare Rojas, Mark Ulriksen and Marilyn Minter in its live and silent auctions.
THHE AUCTION benefits Hospitality House’s Community Arts Program, the city’s only free-of-charge fine arts studio for low-income artists who are also showcased in the auction.
