Creepy fairy tales, why do we love you so obsessively? Are the little girls who star in them defenseless, or sultry? Either way, our voyeurism is disgusting, except that we may see ourselves in the reedy heroines. At Holly Andres' "Sparrow Lane," the artist is defiantly complicit -- those redheaded waifs in the woods are wearing a lot of lipstick. The photography's weird suggestions of narrative immediately call to mind Sofia Coppola's The Virgin Suicides, but instead of a harsh pastel wash, the general palette features popping Technicolor: Somehow, it creates the same sense of impending tragedy mixed with nostalgia for youth.
