“Sing-A-Long Sound of Music — the words strike fear into certain people, who assume, quite rightfully, that they will be stuck in a theater filled with The Sound of Music’s sound of music for three-plus hours under direct social pressure from Rodgers and Hammerstein, Captain Georg von Trapp, and more than a few strong personalities to sing loudly, proudly, and absolutely unselfconsciously. For others, this is a double scoop of ice cream. The iconic songs — “My Favorite Things,” “Edelweiss,” “Do Re Mi,” and so on and on and on and on — have the uncanny knack to transport you to an ethereal, Prozac-flecked snowy mountain filled with adorable kids, imported bier, perfectly cooked sausages, and the tantalizing idea known as “the governess.” The joy they inspire might carry you through the entire season of giving without a single refrain of “O! Fuck Thy Holidays!”

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
