The Heart of the City: Photography by Darwin Bell

When: Thu., April 5, 6-9 p.m. 2018
Phone: 415-351-1912
Price: free
“Heart of the City” collects Darwin Bell’s expressive, richly colored photographs of the TL. Although his eye is often trained on happenings inside the Tenderloin Museum, Bell frames the iconoclastic neighborhood’s perpetual state of metamorphosis through carefully composed shots of vibrant architectural exteriors and signage. The artist will be present for an opening reception in the gallery as part of #SFfirstThursdays Art Walk.

The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
