Restaurant Details

For more than a century, locals and tourists alike have been heading out to the edge of the continent for that dazzling panorama of coastline, sunsets, and limitless Pacific …and the food and drink that goes with it. The Cliff House is a San Francisco classic, especially striking after a 2002-'04 renovation project that gave it a sweeping, light-filled Art Deco ocean-liner ambience. The Outer Richmond space hosts two dining venues, the casual first-come first-served Cliff House Bistro (chowder, burgers, crab Louis, cioppino), and the more elegant reservations-only Sutro's (bouillabaisse, tuna tartare, filet mignon, and the like). Both offer timeless floor-to-ceiling vistas of Seal Rocks, the Golden Gate, the occasional migrating whale, and ships disappearing into the horizon.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
