Goldie Award-winning KUNST-STOFF Dance Company celebrates its 15th season in San Francisco with two programs that combine nostalgia and innovation. Program I features a solo for founding choreographer Yannis Adoniou created in collaboration with LINES Ballet artistic director Alonzo King, as well as a collage of Adoniou's works called 98-13. Program II revisits KUNST-STOFF co-founder Tomi Paasonen's 1998 Mega Hz, a piece on the aftermath of the AIDS epidemic, the dot-com boom, and millennial fears, and offers hope with the premiere of Giga Hz, which considers how the technologies meant to save the world have affected society and the environment. KUNST-STOFF departs San Francisco for the known future when Adoniou returns to Europe at the end of this year; catching this show means witnessing the end of an era.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
