Pinot Days

More than 140 wineries from Oregon to New Zealand will be offering their diverse takes on the popular grape at this largest gathering of pinot noir producers in the world. Sunday, June 30, 2 to 5 p.m. $60. Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd., S.F.

Breastfest Beer Festival

Get as drunk as you want while supporting alternative medical treatments for women fighting cancer. Taste beers from more than 60 different breweries, and spend the afternoon outside by the bay for a good cause. Saturday, July 13, 2 to 6 p.m. Festival Pavilion, Fort Mason Center, 2 Marina Blvd., S.F. $50 or $60 at the door.

Catalan Festival

Listen to classical guitar and watch flamenco dancing while sampling Spanish wines and food in Sonoma. The Spanish celebration will also feature a festive grape stomp. Russian River Beer Revival & BBQ Cookoff

Beer tastings from more than 50 breweries, plus a BBQ cookoff and live music. No tickets at the door, presale only. You can park at Russian River Brewery and take a shuttle to the party for $10. Saturday, Aug. 17. Gates open at noon; Beer tasting 1 to 5 p.m. Stumptown Brewery, 15045 River Road, Guerneville, CA. $75.

18th Annual Mammoth Festival of Beers and Bluesapalooza

It's a bit of a trek to this weekend getaway, but there's going to be a lot of beers and a lot of blues. Sixty different breweries will be represented, as well as Joan Osborne, JJ Grey, and Mavis Staples. Thursday, Aug. 1, through Sunday, Aug. 4. Sam's Wood Site, Minaret Road, Mammoth Lakes, CA. California Beer Festival

Cruz on down to sample beers from more than 30 breweries, including Stone Brewing Co., Lagunitas, and Red Hook. Play bocce ball, eat food, listen to the Michael Jackson cover band, and get real laid back. Saturday, Aug. 10, 12:30 to 5 p.m. Aptos Village Park, 100 Aptos Creek Road, Aptos, CA. Noe Valley Wine Walk

Act chic and stroll through Noe Valley in the early evening sampling wines and finger foods. Thursday, Aug. 22, 4 to 8 p.m. 24th Street from Diamond to Chattanooga, S.F. $20 in advance; $25 day-of.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage.
