Joining forces for literary Voltron

In 2014, comedian Spencer Latham and writer Katie Wheeler-Dubin brought their talented friends together for an evening of interdisciplinary storytelling — featuring collaborations by comedians, writers, and visual artists — for one night in Latham's Castro living room. It was one of those moments when a house party is actually something else, with people coming and going and others straining to see the visual components to the stories they could hear. This second round of Story 2: Show & Tell presents seven stories told over a range of artistic media, and has expanded to the Shelton Theater for obvious reasons: The living room was overflowing during the first show, and more people should witness this kind of live interdisciplinary magic. Pairings include Shanti Charan and Erica Webster, Richard Toomer and Maren Preston, and Karen Penley and Dongyi Wu.

The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
