Restaurant Details

As if the name wouldn't tip you off, heat is at the heart of this Inner Richmond Taiwanese and Szechuan restaurant popular with USF kids and pepper-crazed neighborhood folks. The restaurant, whose color scheme is almost as loud as the Chinese pop music blaring from the TV, is famous for its hyperbolic dish titles ("spicy fish fillet bowl with flaming red oil"). Items like spicy pig ear and numbing spicy beef tendon will indeed cauterize your insides. The fish fillet with explosive chile peppers and the hot pots are cult favorites, while the stinky tofu dishes may prove challenging to an unschooled diner.
