Comedian Brent Weinbach is a locally bred weirdo and an award-winning performer. He's performed live on late-night shows like Conan and Lopez Tonight, so you may have seen him on television. He also hosts a podcast, The Legacy Music Hour, in which his background as a jazz pianist informs opinions and explorations of classic video game soundtracks. Indeed. Mainly, though, Weinbach is a masterful performer. His ability to completely embody characters on stage is so convincing that it's borderline disturbing, but what would one expect from a local but that he'll talk in strange voices in front of anyone who'll listen?

Brent Weinbach performs at Punchline Comedy Club, 444 Battery St., S.F., at 8 p.m., Friday at 8 and 10 p.m., and Saturday at 7:30 and 9:30 p.m.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
