Slow Hands
Slow Hands performs Friday, Dec. 16, at BeatBox. 9 p.m., $15 advance, $20 door.
As you might expect, the music of Slow Hands, a.k.a. Ryan Cavanagh, is sexual, smooth, and, yes, languid. One half of the duo Worst Friends, Cavanagh has risen to international prominence following his signing to tastemaker label Wolf + Lamb. His productions — such as "Rough Patch," "Fast Tongue," and his remix of No Regular Play's "Ladyluck" — all feature the same sensual approach to dance music that has become a hallmark of his sets at New York's trendy Autobrennt parties. With support from Secrets, Michael Tello, and Briski, come see why Resident Advisor calls Cavanagh's music "make-out disco."
