Sickboy "Decompositions"

When: Tuesdays-Saturdays, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Continues through Aug. 11 2018
Sickboy will showcase a large body of work as well an impressive insitu installation for his solo exhibition “Decompositions”. After a 4-year hiatus from exhibiting, Sickboy has taken this opportunity to reflect upon his past body of work, to restructure a new vision of his art. There are times when a break in habits allow introspection and the ability see things from a distance. In many ways this process of self-critique inspired the artist to analyze what may be considered his signature style and output thus far as an artist. “Decompositions” is a conversation between the artist and himself, taking apart his style and re-envisioning it in a new manner and approach. We are excited to share with you this new path the artist has laid out for himself as he progresses forward.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
