Shenson Faculty Concert Series presents: A Stravinsky Birthday Concert! Concert

When: Sat., June 16, 7:30-9:30 p.m. 2018

As part of the Fête Concert Series and presented by The Shenson Faculty concert Series, CMC faculty members Paul Dab, piano; and Abigail Shiman, violin; celebrate the birthday of influential composer Igor Stravinksy with a festive concert. The program also features Anne Hepburn Smith, soprano; and Sarah Bonomo, clarinet. Works include: Suite Italienne, Three Japanese Lyrics, A Soldiers Tale Trio with text by Douglas Penick, and a specially arranged “Happy Birthday” by local composer Joseph Colombo.Free admission includes wine, snacks and party hats! Concert begins at 8pm. Pre-concert reception begins at 7:30

  • clipping at Brava Theater Sept. 11
    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
