EMPRESS’s poetic lyrics and soulful voice will transport you to a magical Stardust World, while she reveals her original music stripped down to voice and piano. Shannon (aka EMPRESS) is an American singer, songwriter, composer, dancer, and actress who brings all her artistic passions together in this special intimate performance. Her music began on the keyboard at age 4. From there, she blossomed into a professional dancer who was one of the youngest members of San Francisco Ballet. After 10 years with SF Ballet, she performed in the Tony Award winning production of An American in Paris as a company

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
