Shackleton, Eskmo, and EPROM

As San Francisco's leftfield bass music scene starts to rival that of London's, it speaks volumes that we're one of four North American cities vaunted U.K. producer Shackleton will hit during his rare world tour. Blending Mideast percussion with buzzy synths and bruising bass, his spare, hypnotic style — displayed on releases for his legendary Skull Disco label — will complement the talented local producers opening for him.

    Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday.
