Pearl of Wisdom

Write what you know: Ha ha! You're adorable. Why would the Weekly task the resident pearl-clutcher to write about drugs in the Tenderloin? ("No Fix," Chris Roberts, 8/27/15.) Your naïveté does a disservice to the area and the needs of its citizens. Patrick Burnett

Don’t Let the Terrorists Win

Crackdown on Massholes: Where are the cops? Do the cops just let this criminal behavior go unchecked? ("Video: Critical Mass Cyclists Lash Out at Motorist in the Marina, Jeremy Lybarger, The Snitch, 8/31/15) This happens on every Critical Mass ride and S.F. does nothing. Critical Mass should be considered a criminal gang and treated as such. Oldfart

Labor’s Love Lost

It's work hard, pay hard for tech shuttle drivers: Don't forget what this is about ("The Teamsters Take on Tech Shuttle Unions," Julia Carrie Wong, 8/27/15 issue). The Teamsters need more union dues from these drivers to pay higher salaries for union leaders. The same could be said about the company; regardless, neither the Teamsters nor Bauer's gives a rat's ass about these drivers. Richmondman

Mo’ Money, Mo’ Problems

You're right, charity is for losers: Possibly the dumbest thing ever posted on the internet. ("Gift Cards for the Homeless: A Better Idea than Throwing Them in Jail?", Jeremy Lybarger, The Snitch, 8/28/15) Save the homeless, give them $25! Morons. Ch

Bass Ackwards

A good analogy is hard to find: How hard is it to simply let a trolley pass you by before you make a left/right turn? ("Streetcar Hit by Lyft Near the Wharf But Keeps on Chuggin', Joe Fitgerald Rodriguez, The Snitch, 8/28/15) I mean, it's like putting on your shoes/socks and then putting on your pants and wondering why your pant legs are stretched out. Eric

  • clipping at Brava Theater Sept. 11
Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
