Guilty of Misinformation

Author vs. the Reader: Without knowing how many advanced degrees the author has attained, I will desist from casting doubt on her intellectual capabilities or her expertise on legal matters ["A Jury of Her Peers?: Here's what really sank Ellen Pao's gender discrimination lawsuit," Amy Alexander, News, 4/1]. But, I will point out that she seems to have overlooked the fact that Ellen Pao was the plaintiff not the defendant in this trial. As we all know from movies, TV shows, and folklore, it is the defendant who has the right to trial by a jury of his/her/their peers. So by the author's reasoning, the jury should have been comprised of unspeakably wealthy old white men, some of whom have private jets. the fat skier

Ms. Muralist

Was it by Design?: I think they're all great artists, don't get me wrong. But there are SOOO many SF muralists that are women and you could only come up with ONE for this article? ["Up Against the Wall: Rising rents haven't silenced San Francisco street artists. Meet seven who have beaten the odds," Jonathan Curiel, News, 4/1]. A great majority of SF mural history stems from women. It's kind of ridiculous. Micho P Wong

!!!!

More Bikes Coming to the Bay: Finally! It'll be great to have this across the whole city, let alone the whole Bay. How awesome ["Bay Area Bike Share to Expand Tenfold By 2017," Leif Haven, The Snitch, 4/3]. I always thought Alta Bike Share went bankrupt. Kian

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
