Noise Annoys

Bubbleheads: The common theme here is that despite what they profess, "progressives" just want time to stop so that they can feel comfortable in their own little bubble ["Noise Wars: San Francisco music venues fight for their survival," Gary Moskowitz, News, 4/9]. They're all secretly 80 years old. "Ricky Maddow"

How Many More?: Interesting bit of fed nonsense. Waste of time, manpower and money ["SFPD's Ferguson Problem," Chris Roberts, Chem Tales, 4/9]. Serious about drug sales? How many street captains were busted — you know, the ones that circle TL blocks in big cars, keep watch on their street troops, collect drug sales money, and resupply the low-level street soldiers? How many arrests of the loaders who bring large volume of drugs to the Bay Area? "Save Our Schools" — the hypocrisy is nauseating. apthorp

Legally DRunk?

Bullshit: What a crock... SFFD Rules and regulations forbid any firefighter from having alcohol on city-owned property ["Firewater: San Francisco fire crews can legally drink beers on the job," Chris Roberts, News, 4/9]. Furthermore, smoking in firehouses and smoking in fire department vehicles is not allowed. WasAjakey

My word!: Why is this kind of vulgarity supposed to be clever? ["Hillary Clinton Is A Total Dom Top Now," Peter Lawrence Kane, The Snitch, 4/14.] Rob Anderson

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. The packed Brava Theater hosted an initially seated crowd that ended the night jumping and dancing against the front of the stage. The trio performed a set focused on their recently released Sci-Fi Horror concept album, 'Splendor & Misery', then delved into their dancier and more aggressive back catalogue, and recent single 'Wriggle'. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
