Seth Troxler

Wednesday, Feb 3 2010

Seth Troxler is a Kalamazoo-born, Berlin-based DJ and producer who guarantees that feet start moving when he gets on the decks. Those first movements usually come from the club's sound technicians, though, as they run for the master EQ while Troxler's track selections swing between spooked wailing and murky plinking. He manages to coalesce all his odd, obtuse tendencies atop an undeniably jackin' tribal tech-house groove that turns sinister into sexy. Troxler has annually released two to four deservedly lauded singles for years now. He is currently touring to preview the upcoming Boogybytes Vol. 05, a 16-track mix CD that exhibits his ability to ride the wet slap of deep house and tumbling atonal techno to wonky, fonky synergy.

Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
