Seven short films, an intermission with discussions, a feature film, and a trailer make up World Oceans Day Film Festival. The feature, Barbara Ettinger's Sea Change: Imagine a World Without Fish, sounds like a nightmarishly important lesson about how much acid is in international waters these days. But the narrative follows Norwegian-born retiree Sven Huseby as he visits his fish-loving ancestral lands, learning about the state of the ocean from scientists. They don't have good things to say, of course, but considering the positive changes that have come from public education and outcry over the years, Sven and the viewer are allowed some hope.

Sub Pop recording artists 'clipping.' brought their brand of noise-driven experimental hip hop to the closing night of 2016's San Francisco Electronic Music Fest this past Sunday. Opening performances included local experimental electronic duo 'Tujurikkuja' and computer music artist 'Madalyn Merkey.'"
